Haha dude, you are just very cynical and meticulous all round huh? Kid's wondrously gifted at a young age, whether or not you like his U2 interpretation...why not accept it instead of trying to find something sinister behind that?

I can be quite cynical and yeah, I think meticulous sums me up (for the most part - I'm not always as such...) - I guess there's a small amount of jealousy in so far as I can't play in that style BUT if we're being purely objective I personally don't like it as a musical piece (ignoring any extenuating factors, i.e. how old or young he is or any background info. to go with it). Damn good playing, but I could say that for other musicians such as Dragonforce etc. - my god some of those guitarists can play, but I sure don't like it lol. It's just everyone's different view of everything!
Agree, impressive but I didn't like it per se. I can't play guitar like that, but that said I wonder how he can at that age - either he's the Mozart of the guitar or he's been force-taught guitar. I'm reading too much into it though...
